Opened in 2014, BrewDog’s Welsh outpost serves the freshest craft beer from an eye-watering 30 taps. Situated just over the road from the national stadium, the bar forms a welcoming den of all things hops-laden for locals and visitors to the capital. Hang out with friends, hunker down with a few halves or grab a board game and make a night of it. BrewDog Cardiff is one of more than 20 BrewDog pubs in the UK, with further outposts in the works. The bar, despite its stripped back aesthetics, is far from a harsh, broiling environment – comfy booths and sofas abound, with a raft of boardgames and other distractions. While the industrial decor is chic, it’s the quality of the booze that has been so instrumental in the Scottish brewer’s runaway success. Step inside BrewDog Cardiff and you’ll be presented with unique craft beers from a host of brands, including the eponymous brewer. A host of guest beers are always on tap, with the likes of Mikkeller, Flying Dog, Evil Twin and Matt Hatter vying for your interest. Grab a pint of Punk IPA and enjoy the industrial ambiance.
